This is a painting I did at the Mansfield Indiana Mill in June of 2010. It isnt my best work but it was fun to paint. It was hot the day I painted it and couldnt stay out long enough to finish it. This year I went over it and put some fall colors in it. It was just too drabby for my taste. I will post a new one soon thanks for looking.

River of flowers
Here is another painting I painted about 2 years ago. I painted this from my own thoughts. I have more paintings to post but I will add then a few at a time. I am working on a fall picture now. I started it a few days ago but had to get away from it awhile. I suffer from anxiety and depression but it is getting better. It is not a fun thing to live with. But I am controlling it and it is not controlling me. As soon as I get the next painting done I will post it.

visions of my grandmother
These two paintings I copied them from two small paintings on masonite board. They were my grandmothers paintings. She always painted mountains and pine trees in her pictures. I gave these to my mother and when she passed, they were returned back to me. Hope you enjoy seeing my work. I am happy to have a way to share what I do with others.
my deer painting
This painting like most of my paintings I start painting in a sky and what ever I feel like that is what I put in my paintings. I love to paint water and trees. Most of my paintings have water and trees. I do not draw anything first. I just start painting and loose myself in the painting.

Mountain View
I painted this picture about 3 years ago for my mother. She always liked paintings with color. She asked me to paint a little red truck going up the hill. I didnt get around to it. She passed away july the 4th this year 2011. I miss her so much. This painting is about 4 ft. by 5 ft.

Mansfield covered bridge
This is a picture I painted 2 weeks ago of the Mansfield covered bridge. This is a bridge many have crossed. It is still being used. The little town of Mansfield gets alot of tourist in October for the covered bridge festival.
Reflections of the past
I painted this picture from a photo. I like the sharp colors in this picture. The bridge is nice and bright and I enjoyed painting the reflection of the bridge in the water. I have painted a total of 5 bridge paintings this month. We are almost at the time of year when the leaves look pretty with all the bright colors. A few more days and it will be the perfect time to take new pictures. I am looking forwaard to the fireworks at the end of summer.

West Union bridge, Park County In.
This is a painting i did from a photo i had. I like the reflection in the water in this painting. I enjoy painting water. I live close to Park County In. where there are more bridges there than any other county in the US.
Autumn Covered Bridge
I found a photo of this bridge that I really liked so I painted it just as I saw it. I used acrylics on duckcloth (canvas). This Painting is 37 by 25 1/4. I like the yellow fall trees and the pastel colors in this painting. It has a soft look to it which is easy on the eyes.
Introduction
10-5-2011
My name is Bonnie. I'm from Indiana and I love to paint. Most of my paintings are made up of images that exist only in my mind. Some of my paintings are from photographs that either I or others have taken. I paint with acrylics because of their ease of use but also can paint with Oil paintings. I would love to sell some of my art but mostly the purpose of this blog is to review comments good or bad to see what others think of my talent.
